Lanterns of Hope had the privilege and opportunity to serve and assist the children and adolescent residents at the ABI Central facility in Guatemala City. ABI (Abrigo Y Bienestar Integral para Niños Y Adolescentes Con Capacidades Diferentes) is an organization that houses and cares for children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities, including cerebral palsy. The multidisciplinary team provide the children with food, health care, and activities catered for education and developmental growth. Lanterns of Hope participated by performing medical screenings and consultations to the children and adolescents living there.
